The winter sun dapples the whitened landscape as seen from Curbar Gap. The old coaching road comes up to the gap which offers superb views over the surrounding countryside. Just a few miles from the outskirts of Sheffield, Curbar Edge is one of the Peak District's dramatic eastern frontiers. Approximately a mile long it slots neatly between Baslow and Gardom's Edges to the south of Froggatt Edge.
